Brashear faced Atlanta for the semi-final game of the Class 1 District 13 tournament Tuesday. Having drawn the 1st seed, the Tigers had received a 1st round bye. Brashear wasted no time running up an early 6-0 lead and played some good defense turning two double plays and throwing out a runner attempting to steal 2nd. Eventually, Atlanta got on the scoreboard late, but Brashear held on for a 9-3 win. Carson Erwin went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles, Cole Erwin had a double and 2 singles, John Higgins had a double and a single, Jack Reeves doubled, and Drew Magruder singled. Jack Reeves got the start with Cole Erwin, Carson Erwin, and Drew Magruder pitching in relief. Brashear will face La Plata Wednesday night for the district championship.
